School Focus: A Guide to Refit Time Frames

Leaving enough time to get your washroom refurbishment works carried out is essential and relieves any unnecessary stress. The last thing you want is to be worrying over whether materials will arrive with enough time for you to complete works. Especially during the summer holidays.

So here's a guide to lead times on various materials and services, so you can plan in enough time to see the refurb through comfortably.

The lead time for quotes

We provide detailed quotations that are turned around in 24-48 hours depending on the extent of what’s being quoted for. Our quotes are fixed for 60 days and you’ll be assigned your own dedicated project supply manager. We’re able to quote from detailed architect drawings, but at the initial quoting stage exact measurements are not essential and we can also work from hand-drawn sketches.  

Hardware and sanitaryware lead times

Lead times on hardware and sanitaryware are between 1-10 days depending on the item. In many instances, it can be useful to contact the Commercial Washrooms team direct to find out exact turn-around times and advise on the best options to suit your needs.

Cubicle lead times

There’s a 3-4 week lead time on most cubicles including glass, SGL (solid grade laminate), HPL (high-pressure laminate), and MFC (melamine faced chipboard). However, our new Ultra Fast range allows you to order durable vandal resistant cubicles to site in as little as 3-5 days. As well as colour options, you can also choose from both MFC and SGL construction.

Depending on the extent of works you are undertaking, 5-6 weeks leaves you plenty of time to get on with things like re-flooring, drainage, mains water feeds and drainage, tiling, cladding and the installation of sanitaryware. It can be helpful to remember that cubicles are often the final items to be fitted in a refurbishment project.
