DSI Foods Changing Room Refurbishment - Case Study

DSI Foods is a large foodservice operation near Heathrow that has a vast commercial output. The company approached us to help implement new washroom and changing facilities in three main areas.

Hygiene is of paramount importance to this business and the staff wash space needed to adhere to the highest hygiene specifications possible. Sensor activation was integrated throughout the site from the Biodrier Executive hand dryer, through to urinals, washbasins, and toilets.

No Touch & Bespoke Operations

We used DVS sensor taps with a bespoke solid surface wash trough to provide an open hand wash area with clean modern lines. Using sensor activation throughout the room means users never have to physically touch these items, which significantly reduces the spread of bacteria.

Custom fabricated cubicles and changing benches were made using solid grade laminate that has gone through an antibacterial silver ion core treatment. This material kills 99.9% of bacteria and is used throughout the foodservice and healthcare industry.

The staff washroom was designed to be vibrant and featured an orange, yellow, and green colourway, which we followed through by powder coating locker doors to match.

High-End Executive Look

In the office washrooms, the client wanted a more executive feel and went for dark wood grain effect cubicles and half-height wall tiles. This was followed through into the visitor washrooms, which were taken up a notch with a contrasting light wood grain effect duct system, which concealed all the pipework and plumbing for Armitage Shanks Sandringham toilet pans and Clifton urinals.

As other renovation works were taking place at DSI Foods, we managed the custom fabrication of products and phased deliveries to the site in order to keep installation efficiency to a maximum.

This foodservice washroom project was completed on time and to budget with fantastic client feedback.
