The Ariston Andris Elite 2.5kW under-sink water heater is a 10-litre, technologically advanced, versatile water heater. This water heater is ideal for localised use to efficiently heat mains water.
Often used in small business units where it is impractical to install a large boiler system or extend any existing hot water system. In commercial washroom settings, it is often installed within a vanity unit and supplies hot water via a single or multiple TMV3 valves to basin-mounted mixer taps.
When water is heated, it expands, so an allowance must be made for the extra volume it occupies. Current Water Regulations allow unvented water heaters with a capacity of 15 litres or less to accommodate the expansion of water that occurs during the heating cycle in the system pipework. But this means that you need sufficiently long pipework to achieve this. To achieve this, the pipework between the last cold-water draw-off and the water heater must be large enough to accommodate expansion. For 15 mm pipe plumbing, the pipe length must be at least 2.8m, and for 22 mm pipe plumbing, it must be at least 1.5m.

If you do not have a sufficiently long pipe run, you will need to install an Ariston expansion kit (Kit A) with a non-return valve (the non-return valve is included with Kit A). If the mains water pressure exceeds 3.5 bar, a pressure-reducing valve (Kit B) should also be installed.
We do, however, recommend using a Discharge Tundish (Kit C) for all installations. For further information on this or the other configurations, please see the download forms.
