Ensure accessibility with the RADAR Disabled Door Lockset in Polished Aluminium. Designed for ease of use, this lockset is perfect for creating inclusive environments. Enhance safety and functionality today.
This door lock is designed specifically for installation on a disabled toilet door. It complies with the requirements of the RADAR National Key Scheme (NKS), which provides access to disabled toilet facilities for those who need them most.
The Latch bolt can be easily reversed for inward- or outward-opening doors, and for left- or right-hand opening doors.
Supplied complete with colourful contrast vinyl surround to increase light reflective values (LRV) against the lever handle back plate and the door surface to aid users with visual impairments.
This lock is approved by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation (RADAR), which means that a toilet can be locked at all times unless opened by a registered disabled or blind user with their RADAR key. This means that the toilet area can be kept clean, and the limited access helps prevent misuse and vandalism, enabling a clean, functional toilet.
You can determine the handing by standing inside the cubicle and checking which side of the door the hinges are on. If the hinges are on the right, then the lock is right-handed. If the hinges are on the left, then the lock is left-handed.
The lever handle should be fitted 800-1050 mm above floor level (recommended height 900 mm).
Lift to lock and depress to exit lever handle. Operations exceed the EN1906:2012 maximum requirement of 200,000 cycles (grade 7: high frequency of use: 200,000 cycles).
Included in Neutral Salt Spray test to 240 hours (EN1670:2007 Grade 4 very high corrosion resistance).
Supplied in a satin aluminium finish.
