This Cisternmiser Standard Hydraulic Urinal Flush Control Valve uses a simple, innovative mechanism to save water by automatically filling and flushing the urinal cistern when the washroom is in use.
This valve is available to purchase on its own, or with a hygiene flush attachment. With the hygiene flush attachment, the standard urinal Cistermiser can also run a hygiene cycle or janitorial flush every 12 hours of inactivity to reduce unpleasant odours from the urinals and lower the risk of waste blockages, even when the washrooms are not in use.
This Cistermiser Standard Hydraulic Urinal Flush Control Valve uses a simple, innovative mechanism to save water by letting the autofill urinal cistern fill and flush only when the washroom is in use.
Installing the Cistermiser standard valve on the urinal cistern supply pipe limits water flow to the urinal bowl, allowing water into the cistern only when the washroom is in use.
We also provide a version of this flush valve that is suitable for low pressure systems.
Satisfies the requirement under Schedule 2, Section 9, Paragraph 25 of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme to install an approved urinal flush control with all auto-cisterns and urinals.
The Cistermiser range of hydraulic valve urinal flush controls is installed in line with the water supply inlet pipe into the cistern and senses short-term drops in water-supply pressure. Each time it detects a pressure drop, the valve releases a measured amount of water into the cistern. The auto-syphon flushes the urinals once the cistern contains the required amount of water. The short-term drops in water pressure the Cistermiser flush control senses are caused by tap use or toilet flushing within the washroom, which approximates urinal use.
With an adjustable timer, the Cistermiser valve can remain open or closed for varying periods, changing how long the cistern takes to fill. The valve activates in response to a sudden, short-term pressure drop in the system, such as when a tap turns on. When activated, the valve opens, and water passes to the urinal cistern until the pressures on both sides of the valve are equalised. When the cistern is full, the auto-siphon will flush.
